About Us

Positive Growth Inc. (PGI) is a non-profit organization accredited by the National Council on Accreditation (COA).  PGI was founded in 1994 to provide consultation to residential treatment facilities in the metro Atlanta area. After realizing the high rate of delinquency and homelessness in Georgia, PGI decided to increase its service base by providing troubled and homeless adolescent males with a clean, safe and nurturing environment to call home.

Fueled by a sincere passion to help youth succeed, the former Partridge Rest Home was purchased in January 1996 and renovated within a year. PGI was approved for operation from the Department of Human Resources and received its child care license in October 1997, opening its doors as a quality residential, out-of-home placement for troubled and/or homeless males 6-21 years of age. In 2007, PGI initiated its community based, family service program through the Positive Growth Counseling Center to provide integrated child-focused and family-centered services throughout the metro Atlanta area.

Mission: to strengthen the lives of children, youth, adults and families during difficult life transitions.

Vision: to bring about measurable positive changes through a person-centered, family-focused and community-based model of integrated services that are culturally sensitive.  These services will enable those involved to achieve their highest level of success.
